DebtWatcher is a comprehensive database of businesses that have had past due accounts turned over to third party collection agencies.

» WHERE DOES THE DATA COME FROM?
'Experience' information is reported to DebtWatcher by collection agencies that partner with DebtWatcher.

» HOW OFTEN IS THE DATA UPDATED?
All partnering agencies agree to report current, updated data on all open and closed accounts at least once per month.

» HOW LARGE IS THE DEBTWATCHER DATABASE?
DebtWatcher currently has millions of individual 'experiences' reports, with hundreds of thousands of new items being reported on a regular basis.

» WHO WILL USE DEBTWATCHER?
(1) Credit managers will want to know if new or existing customers have debts placed with collection agencies.
(2) Collection managers will want to see if there is any information [address, phone, etc] that will assist them.

» WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING DEBTWATCHER?
(1) Feel more comfortable when extending credit to new, prospective customers.
(2) Feel more comfortable when extending 'terms' to existing customers.

» WHAT IS THE COST TO ACCESS THE DATABASE?
DebtWatcher is available by subscription only. Please discuss this with your sponsoring agency.

» IS THERE ANY SPECIAL SOFTWARE THAT I WILL HAVE TO BUY?
DebtWatcher is a web based product. The only piece of equipment that you will need is a Personal Computer with internet access. Just direct your browser to your sponsoring agencies login screen, enter your user name and password, and begin your search.


FAQ's for Collection Agencies

» WHAT AGENCIES ARE SUPPORTING THE DEBTWATCHER DATABASE?
To maintain the integrity of the data reported, only agencies that are members of the Commercial Collection Agency Association or International Association of Commercial Collectors are supplying information to DebtWatcher.

» WHO WILL USE DEBTWATCHER?
Your collection agency will utilize additional 'authority' to access the DebtWatcher skip-tracing function.
(1) Your clients will want to place new accounts with you sooner after seeing that their customers might have other pressing debt that might delay their payments.
(2) Users [through DebtWatcher], that currently do not have a relationship with any agency, may be directed to your agency when it becomes necessary to place accounts.

» HOW WILL I KEEP 'MY' CLIENT INFORMATION PRIVATE?
Your client information is NOT reported to DebtWatcher. You will never have to worry that any of the partnering agencies or end users will see specific creditor names. Only your [agency] identification number is reported with each 'experience' listed.
